Repairing the Detector 4
The fan must be installed in the correct orientation
(see arrow on the fan) to ensure optimum cooling
and operation of the detector. The direction of air
flow is from the front towards the rear.
The figure below shows the required air flow
direction.
2 Insert the fan assembly into its location and Reconnect
the connector to the main board (fan J16), see figure
below for location.
Next steps:
• Reinstall the top foam section, top cover and front cover,
see “Replacing the Foam and the Top Cover” on
page 175.
• Replace the detector into the stack.
• Reconnect cables, capillaries and turn on detector
