Introduction
8 For 327X systems, remove the testhead covers (save
all hardware):
a Rotate the testhead to the 0-degree (shipping)
position.
b If the probe is in the probe holder on the safety
skirt, move it to a safe location.
c Using a 5-millimeter hex wrench, remove the
safety skirt.
d Using a T20 Torx driver, remove the top cover.
e Rotate the testhead to the 90-degree (service)
position.
f Using a 1/4-inch flat blade screwdriver, remove
the rear cover.
9 For 79000 systems, remove the left pod cover (save
all hardware):
a If the probe is in the probe holder on the safety
skirt, move it to a safe location.
b Rotate the testhead to the 90-degree (service)
position.
c Using a 1/4-inch flat blade screwdriver, remove
the rear cover.
10 Inventory the kit. All bags in the kit are labeled.
Compare the part numbers and quantities of parts to
the Parts List in the kit. Report any discrepancies to
MTD before starting the installation. Find the cables
used to connect the DUT power supply to the ASRU
card, which were included with the module(s). They
should be coiled in the testhead of 317X, 327X or
79000 systems or the support bay of the 307X
system. The cables included in the various systems
and expansion kits are listed in Table 1 on page 6.
The cable ends are illustrated in Figure 1 on page 7.
11 If the DUT supply includes shorting straps on the
output terminals, remove them. Otherwise, remote
sensing will not work and the supply will fail
Diagnostics.
