Uplink proﬁ le in TDD mode

Instructions Software operations

On the Signal Studio for 802.16 WiMAX software:

1. Conﬁ gure the waveform setup

from upper level. (Setup of both

DL & UL waveform in TDD

mode)

Click Waveform Setup to see the setups

of the fundamental waveform signal.

Under Waveform Properties, you can set

WiMAX common parameters as follows:

• Built frames = 1

• Frame duration = 5 ms

• Output mode = Both DL and UL (TDD)

• Downlink Ratio (%) = 50.0000

• Downlink duration (ms) = 5.0000

• Uplink duration (ms) = 0.0000

• Guard period = 1/8

• Symbol rolloff = 5.0 %

2. Conﬁ gure Uplink # of symbols

to make the RTG longer period

Click Uplink and check the following

parameters.

• # of symbols = 15

• Symbol offset = 0

• Max # of subchs = 35

3. Download the signal to Agilent

ESG.

On the menu bar, go to Control > Gener-

ate and Download.
