This function returns the contents of the ESR register. The driver returns the

equivalent messages (see Parameters).

Parameters vi Instrument handle returned from hpe5250a_init( ).

errstr[ ] Response from instrument.

Parameters vi Instrument handle returned from hpe5250a_init( ).

channel_config Configuration mode. 0 (auto) or 1 (normal).
